ARTIST & DESIGNER
About my life

Unique tableware like the Dragon Tableware and numerous fountain objects made the Naila-born artist Barbara Flügel famous.
Barbara Flügel first completed her training at the Porcelain Technical School in Selb. After graduating, she became self-employed as a successful designer with her own porcelain manufactory in Selb and Schönwald.
With exhibitions in China, Dubai, Singapore, Moscow and Paris, international projects and successes followed around the world.
After many years in design and serial manufactory production, she now focuses entirely on her free and extraordinary art.
With high sensitivity, free from material constraints yet mostly working with her favorite material porcelain, she creates modern objects, unique pieces, or strictly limited editions.
Her fascination remains large-scale projects such as fountains, wall designs, and sculptural works.
In addition to her works in public spaces, you can find current works at the Louis Lommer Gallery in Schönwald.
