Large white porcelain plates with gold applications referencing the history of porcelain manufacturing. The elements were developed with FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg and several Bavarian companies in a project funded by the Bavarian Research Foundation, and equipped with diamond-ceramic electrodes for water purification.

Porzellangässchen is one of the most famous landmarks of the porcelain city Selb. First laid with porcelain tiles in 1970, it was comprehensively redesigned by Barbara Flügel in 2003. Approximately 55,000 mosaic pieces of porcelain were assembled into a colorful work of art.

For the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, porcelain artist Barbara Flügel developed an extraordinary ceremonial and representative tableware set. She was selected as the lead porcelain designer for this international project and created a collection that combined Olympic values with Chinese culture and German porcelain artistry.

"The Art of Porcelain Making" – concept design, production, and modern relief technique were a special challenge for Barbara Flügel. The LED lighting, with its complex control system, creates an exciting play of light, especially in the evening hours!
